Important Announcement: Waterfront Festival Postponed to 2026
Since 2012, the Humber Bay Shores Condominium community has enjoyed the annual Humber Bay Shores Waterfront Festival, organized by the Humber Bay Shores Condominium Association (HBSCA). This non-profit organization relies on fundraising to host all events. In 2024, approximately 10,000 adults and children attended the festival and had a wonderful time.
Typically, Marine Parade Drive is closed for the festival to accommodate artisans, farmers, local businesses, the Kids Zone, musical entertainment, and staging. However, the cost to close Marine Parade Drive has significantly increased. In previous years, the permit cost was $300.00, but in 2024, it escalated to $4,000.00, along with other rising permit costs.
Due to these rising costs, the association members have decided to postpone the Waterfront Festival for 2025. Instead, they will work throughout the year to raise the necessary funds to host the event in the summer of 2026.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support, including condominium corporation members, residents, volunteers, and committee members who diligently work to organize all our community events. We look forward to seeing you at the Farmers’ Market from May 31 to October 11, the Golf Tournament on September 11, and the Christmas Market. Please check the HBSCA website for details.
